The local Sparks Nebraska Spurs chapter of Cowboy Fast Draw Association has been busy in August with County Fairs. They set up at the Cherry County Fair earlier this month and then this past weekend were at the Keya Paha County Fair in Norden to let people try their hand at fast draw.
Now the group is focusing on a big event September 9th through the 22nd at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine. A new group being formed for Kansas will host a Kansas State Championship on the 19th, The Sparks Spurs will host the Nebraska State Championship on September 20th and the Great Plains Territorial Championship on the 21st and 22nd. Three titled matches in 4 days is drawing a lot of interest from shooters across the country from Michigan to California. The public is welcome to come watch the action during the 4 days of competition September 19th through the 22nd.
