Weather permitting, micro-surfacing work will
begin Aug. 19 on N-61 north of Merriman, beginning at US-20 and proceeding north from mile markers 226
to 231 according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Missouri Petroleum. of St. Louis, Mo. has the contract. Work will continue on US-20 west of Merriman from mile markers 118 to 127. Traffic will be maintained with
a pilot car and flaggers. Anticipated completion is Sept. 2024.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
