The Cherry County Commissioners met on Tuesday for a regular meeting. Cherry County Assessor Jackie Moreland submitted her letter of resignation effective September 10th. The commissioners are expected to take action on the resignation at the August 13th meeting.
In other business, the board appointed Ashley Blume as the new Veterans Service Officer effective August 12th. Ashley is a Navy Veteran and will replace Sean Hamling who has served Cherry County Veterans for several years.
The board also discussed purchasing a new sheriff’s department vehicle. Those vehicles are purchased using inheritance tax funds.
