An update on the Niobrara Valley Vineyards ribbon cutting and grand opening. There was a large crowd attending the mid afternoon event on July 19th. The new facility can host larger events, and boasts a new tasting room, outdoor patio area, camping hookups and walking path among other activities.
More people showed up for the pizza night, drinks and music by BJ Jamison and The Twin River Band. An estimated crowd of about 500 took part in the evenings festivities.
The event continued Saturday culminating with more food and music by Mike, Lynn and Billie Baxter as well as Joel Gothard and his daughter. About 200 people attended that evening’s events.
The two-day event also included a cornhole tournament and 5K run/walk. $1800 was raised for the Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service and $2665 was raised for the Sandhills Cancer Fund through these events.
