The 31st annual Nebraska Star Party returns to the KVSH area and runs through August 2nd. The theme is ‘Just Imagine”. This particular star party emphasizes helping new people learn and start in understanding and viewing the night skies.

According to representatives Clete Blakeman and John Johnson, who appeared on the KVSH Comment program, they expect over 300 participants.

On Wednesday afternoon there will be programs at the Valentine High School featuring a variety of speakers.

The Public Star Party will be held Friday, August 2nd, at 9:00 PM, at the Observing Field near the Snake River Campground. Interested person should arrive before dusk or aby 9PM. You dont need to have any special equipment, but bring binoculars or what you do have.
