The District 1 American Legion Tour will be coming through the KVSH area this week. This will include Valentine Post 90 and Cody Post 319. Niobrara Valley Vineyards will host the event on Thursday afternoon at 2:45 Central Time and the group will spend the night in Valentine.
The tour will begin on Wednesday with stops at Ainsworth, Wood Lake, Basset and Newport. At last report at least 4 state officers are planning on participating in the tour that ends on Saturday with a picnic for the veterans residing at the Hot Springs VA.
Friday will be breakfast in Cody then move on to Gordon and Northwest Nebraska. American Legion Auxiliary members will also participate and any veteran that is interested in learning more about the American Legion are welcome.
