University of Nebraska President Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., who began his new role on July 1, is kicking off a statewide tour Monday that will take him to each end of the state for conversations with Nebraskans about the future of the university and Nebraska’s growth and competitiveness.
The five-day tour, beginning in Nebraska City and concluding in Scottsbluff, will include stops in a dozen Nebraska communities and engagements with civic, business, education, agricultural, health care, philanthropic and government leaders, along with students, faculty and staff and members of the media.
Dr. Gold will be in Valentine on Thursday, Aug. 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT with a reception with community leaders at Bolo Beer Co., 420 E. 1st St.
