According to Valentine Youth Activities Director Luke Grubham, the Valentine Family Aquatic Center will be closed temporarily as they deal with some mechanical issues affecting the filtration system.
Grubham stated that there is an issue with the proper flow of water in the return system of the filtration apparatus. The City of Valentine is aware of the situation and is working to resolve the problem.
Once the problem has been fixed, there may be some time for the system to properly filter the pool before it will be able to re-open to the public. It is hoped that the pool will be re-opened to the public at some point on Wednesday.
