Monday, City of Valentine Crews assisted volunteer in setting new flag poles at the Cherry County Justice Center Veterans Memorial courtyard. The Cherry County Veterans Memorial Committee working on this project includes: Bill Marshall, John Ravenscroft, Dr. Dick Jeffers, Jim Edwards, Bob Stetter, Don Nelson and Larry Johnson. The new flag poles will fly the flags of the various branches of the armed forces. The flags will be part of the finishing touches at the memorial site with last weeks addition of the Korean and Vietnam War memorials. Many of the Memorial Committee members were present to assist with erecting the flag poles.
