The Tour De Nebraska bike event will be in the KVSH area this week. The tour of over 400 bike riders will arrive Tuesday in Springview. They will tour the Bassett and Ainsworth areas before ending the week and spending 2 days in the Valentine area. According to organizer Charles Schilling, they try to cover about 50 miles per day and some participants have set a goal to hit 100 in one day. There are options for more routes during their stay in Valentine.

Tour de Nebraska is a five-day (Wednesday-Sunday) circle tour, which means riders enjoy the convenience of starting and ending at the same place. The TDN is limited to 500 riders, which allows for meaningful interaction between riders and the communities they visit.

While in the Valentine area, many participants are excited about tubing the Niobrara River and taking advantage of other opportunities in the community. This tour was founded in 1988 and will host riders from 9 years old, to 88 this year.
