Arrests/Incidents:
On 06/02/2024 at 5:07 pm, a disturbance occurred near the intersection of 1st and Main Streets. A 28 year old South Dakota man was arrested for disturbing the peace.
On 06/02/2024 at 9:44 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of west highway 20. A 60 year old Valentine man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, refusal of the chemical test, no driver’s license, and an invalid vehicle registration.
On 06/03/2024 at 12:29 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 4th and Edna Streets. A 20 year old South Dakota man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 06/03/2024 at 4:26 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of south Main Street for an assault. An 18 year old Valentine man was arrested for 3rd degree assault.
On 06/04/20244 at 1:23 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of west highway 20. A 53 year old Crookston man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while revoked.
On 06/04/2024 at 6:02 pm, an officer responded to the 400 block of north Cherry Street for a non-injury accident. A 41 year old South Dakota man was cited for no proof of insurance.
On 06/05/2024 at 3:03 am, an officer responded to the 200 block of east 2nd Street for an assault. A 49 year old man and a 24 year old Valentine man, both from Valentine were arrested for domestic assault.
On 06/05/2024 at 12:11 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 4th and Cherry Streets. An 18 year old South Dakota man was cited for no driver’s license and no proof of insurance.
On 06/06/2024 at 11:52 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of north Green Street. An 80 year old Valentine man was cited for no driver’s license.
On 06/07/2024 at 8:00 am, an officer responded to the 300 block of north Main Street for an assault. A 21 year old Valentine woman was identified as the suspect. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
On 06/11/2024 at 4:49 pm, an officer responded to the 500 block of north Green Street for a careless driver. An 18 year old South Dakota man was arrested for willful reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
