The latest update on the Merritt Reservoir North project on Highway 97 Southwest of Valentine.
Asphalt placement is complete. Werner Construction has mobilized off the project. HWY 97 around Merritt Reservoir is now a smoother, wider roadway. Driveways have been replaced and are operational.
Expect the grading operation to continue through June, other work will also continue including, Paint, rumble strips, erosion control, etc.
Traffic control will continue to use flaggers with a pilot car. Most wait times will be less than 10 minutes.
