Sinte Gleska University invites the public to the grand opening of the photo exhibit “Rosebud Sioux, A Lakota People in Transition”. This collection of photographs taken in the 1890’s is curated and donated to the University by Claes H. Jacobson and Eva Anderson. The exhibit contains historic photographs taken by John Anderson on the Rosebud Reservation in the period 1885 to 1930 and more recent photos taken by other photographers. Eva Anderson will make the journey from Sweden to attend the Grand Opening. The event will take place on July 6th from 10AM until 6PM at the Great Plains Art Institute in Mission. For more information contact Kelli Brings Three White Horses at 605 856 8211 or Ned Day at 856 8118. Stay tuned to KVSH Radio next week for an interview about this cultural event.
