This will be a busy weekend in Valentine! The BRAN riders and staff will start trickling in Friday and they are looking at increasing the population by 400-475 people for this group alone. If you are interested in providing souvenirs, crafts, trinkets, or snacks to this group for free will donation or a set price, please contact Regina Osburn at the Visitors Center. There is also a need for transportation downtown. Anyone with proper licensing, horse and buggy, tractor and hay sled, etc can also contact Regina for more information! The Valentine Chamber would also like to encourage downtown businesses to remain open on Saturday. The influx of people is an opportunity to increase commerce in Valentine.
On Saturday, Valentine Chamber Director Jenny Moore will be down at Berry Bridge during the Niobrara River Race. Area residents are encouraged to enjoy the water, music, beer, food and games! Any members who would like to provide yard games, are encouraged to do so, please contact Jenny if you would like to provide a game, but have no way of getting it to Berry Bridge. Sponsors of the race include: Josh Krueger, Bolo Beer, and Hog Trough. Entertainment will be provided by Grant Bitner and Bree DeMontigny.
