Northwest Community Action Partnership has moved it’s Valentine office to a new location.  For the past month, NCAP has been at 158 North Main Street in Valentine.  This was done to accommodate the growing demands on the organization and also to allow for easier access and visibility in the community.

The NCAP is involved in a wide range of services to those who are struggling to make ends meet, or could use a helping hand.

According to the NCAP’s Theresa Herman, services are generally available to those who are at or below 180% of the national poverty level and include the food pantry which is available to those who qualify once a month.  If you receive disconnect notices or help with propane fills, there is assistance available for that as well.

For those who would like to lower their utility bills each month, the NCAP also provides weatherization grants to those who qualify.

NCAP is involved in many more programs in the Valentine area including a collaboration with Valentine Community Schools to provide Head Start preschool for 3 and 4 year olds.

If you have any questions, you are invited to stop by the new office at 158 North Main Street, call 376-1886, or go to www.ncap.info.
