Incidents/Arrests:
On 05/19/2024 at 9:57 am, a dog was reported to be running at large in the 400 block of north Macomb Street. A 42 year old Valentine man was cited for dog running at large.
On 05/19/2024 at 10:27 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 3rd and Valentine Streets. A 21 year old Valentine woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid registration.
On 05/21/2024 at 11:22 am, an officer responded to the 800 block of east highway 20 regarding a report of terroristic threats. An 18 year old Valentine man was identified as a suspect. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 05/21/2024 at 9:46 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of west 4th Street. A 27 year old South Dakota man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and a child safety seat violation.
On 05/21/2024 at 10:29 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 4th and Edna Streets. A 26 year old South Dakota man was cited for no valid registration and a child safety seat violation.
On 05/22/2024 at 3:52 pm, a vehicle was reported to be stolen from the 200 block of west highway 20. This investigation is ongoing.
On 05/23/2024 at 3:57 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 6th and Cherry Streets. A 42 year old Valentine man was cited for driving while revoked.
On 05/23/2024 at 4:28 pm, an officer responded to the area of 2nd and Ray Streets for a disturbance. A 29 year old Valentine man was arrested for domestic assault.
On 05/24/2024 at 6:40 pm, an officer received a report of child neglect from the 400 block of north Hall Street. A 47 year old Valentine woman was identified as a suspect. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 05/25/2024 at 2:02 am, an officer responded to the 700 block of C Street for a report of a sexual assault. The investigation is ongoing.
