Incidents/Arrests:
On 05/06/2024 at 1:52 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near A and Cherry Streets. A 19 year old Valentine man was cited for no proof of insurance.
On 05/06/2024 at 6:20 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near B and Main Streets. A 26 year old South Dakota woman was cited for no driver’s license.
On 05/07/2024 at 9:25 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of east highway 20. A 38 year old West Virginia man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
On 05/08/2024 at 7:25 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 4th and Hall Streets. A juvenile male was cited for a stop sign violation.
On 05/08/2024 at 9:30 am, officers from the Valentine Police Department and Cherry County Sheriff’s Officer were requested to respond to the 200 block of south Helen Street for a “man with a gun.” A 38 year old man was arrested for terroristic threats and obstruction of a peace officer. A 28 year old man was arrested for terroristic threats. A 21year old man was arrested for criminal trespassing and terroristic threats. All 3 men were from Valentine.
On 05/09/2024 at 12:45 am, officers from the Valentine Police Department and Cherry County Sheriff’s Officer were requested to respond to the 400 block of north Green Street for drug violations. A 19 year old Valentine woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. A juvenile female was cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

On 05/09/2024 at 3:50 pm, a complaint about an intoxicated driver was called in from the 100 block of east highway 20.
On 05/09/2024 at 8:44 pm, a careless driver was reported in the 200 block of north Wood Street.
On 05/10/2024 at 2:59 pm, a trespasser was reported near 1st and Main Streets.
On 05/10/2024 at 5:54 pm, an accident with no injuries occurred in the 400 block of north Ray Street.
On 05/10/2024 at 6:10 pm, a trespasser was reported in the 200 block of east highway 20.
