With the Nebraska Primary election on Tuesday, May 14th, the Cherry County Clerk’s office has advised that it may be too late to mail your ballots.  The ballots must be in the possession of the clerk for a count by the end of the day on Tuesday. Because it cannot guarantee that your ballot would be received through the mail on time, County Clerk Brittny Longcor advises voters to bring their ballots to the clerk’s office during regular business hours, or you can also drop them off into the drop box located outside the new addition to the Cherry County Courthouse.  The drop box is under 24 hour video surveillance and is weather proof, so voters can be confident that their vote is safe against tampering and weather damage.
