Incidents/Arrests:
On 04/28/2024 at 8:19 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of east highway 20. Following the deployment of narcotic detection dog K9 Baker, a 39 year old woman and a 22 year old man, both from South Dakota, were cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce and drug paraphernalia.
On 04/30/2024 at 4:16 am, an officer responded to the 500 block of west highway 20 for a report of an auto theft. Rosebud Tribal Police would later recover the vehicle and made an arrest of an 18-year-old man from South Dakota.
On 04/30/2024 at 9:13 am, an officer responded to the 600 block of west highway 20 for a criminal mischief complaint that resulted in property damage. An 18 year old man from South Dakota was identified as the suspect.
On 04/30/2024 at 1:01 pm, an officer responded to the 600 block of west highway 20 for a criminal mischief complaint that resulted in property damage and theft of property. An 18 year old man from South Dakota was identified as the suspect.
On 04/30/2024 at 6:16 pm, a complaint of indecent exposure behavior was filed with the department. The complaint is under investigation.
On 04/30/2024 at 9:54 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 4th and Wood Streets. A 21-year-old South Dakota woman was arrested for procuring alcohol for minors. In addition, 2 juveniles were cited for being minors in possession of alcohol.
On 05/01/2024 at 1:21 pm, an officer responded to the 200 block of north Wood Street for a disturbance. A juvenile was cited for 3rd degree assault.
On 05/01/2024 at 7:18 pm, an officer responded to the 400 block of west B Street for a trespassing complaint. A 48 year old South Dakota man was arrested for 2nd degree criminal trespassing.
On 05/03/2024 at 2:57 pm, an officer responded to the 800 block of west 3rd Street for a disturbance. A 56 year old Valentine man was arrested for disturbing the peace.
On 05/04/2024 at 3:06 pm, an officer received a delayed theft of services complaint from the 200 block of east highway 20. A 47 year old Valentine woman was identified as a suspect. The investigative reports have been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.

On 04/29/2024 at 10:07 am, a dog was running at large in the 200 block of north Wood Street.
On 04/29/2024 at 3:40 pm, a check cashing scam was reported.
On 04/29/2024 at 8:23 pm, a suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of north Hall Street.

On 04/30/2024 at 9:13 am, a complaint of a trespasser on the property in the 600 block of west highway 20 was filed.
On 05/01/2024 at 8:37 am, a welfare check was requested in the 400 block of north Green Street.
On 05/01/2024 at 5:06 pm, a complaint regarding harassment occurring in the 100 block of north Lodi Street was filed.
On 05/01/2024 at 10:17 pm, a suspicious vehicle was reported near 6th and Green Streets.
On 05/02/2024 at 10:13 am, a trespassing complaint was filed from the 100 block of north Hall Street.
On 05/03/2024 at 7:06 am, a suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of east highway 20.
On 05/03/2024 at 12:26 pm, an officer received a bicycle theft report from the 1000 block of east 9th Street.
On 05/04/2024 at 9:29 am, a hit and run accident was reported from the 100 block of south Main Street.
