Incidents/Arrests:
On 04/07/2024 at 7:21 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of south Main Street. A 54 year old South Dakota woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A 60 year old South Dakota man was arrested on an active Cherry County warrant.
On 04/09/2024 at 1:28 pm, an officer was called to the 200 block of south Helen Street to take a call about child neglect. A 41 year old Valentine woman was identified as a suspect. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review. Nebraska Children and Family Services was requested to assist.
On 04/10/2024 at 6:40 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of west highway 20. A 23 year old South Dakota woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
On 04/11/2024 at 5:21 pm, an officer responded to the 700 block of west highway 20 in regard to a theft. A 39 year old South Dakota woman was identified as a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.

On 04/08/2024 at 3:31 pm, a suspicious person was reported in the 400 block of north Main Street.
On 04/08/2024 at 7:03 pm, a fake $20 bill was turned into the department. It had been in the 400 block of west highway 20.
On 04/09/2024 at 9:28 am, a delayed assault report was filed with the department.
On 04/09/2024 at 11:00 am, a complaint regarding multiple city ordinance violations occurring in Little’s Trailer court was received.
On 04/11/2024 at 6:18 pm, a trespasser was reported in the 100 block of east 2nd Street.
On 04/12/2024 at 3:01 pm, an extra patrol request was made with the department.
On 04/12/2024 at 6:47 pm, a dog running at large was reported in the 400 block of east 5th Street.
On 04/13/2024 at 3:08 pm, a complaint regarding a city ordinance violation occurring in the 600 block of north Ray Street was filed.
