With warmer temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s in this weekend’s forecast, people across the region might once again begin thinking about spring and summer activities like golfing, swimming and picnicking.
According to Valentine City Manager Shane Siewart, Frederick Peak Golf Course will be among the first to open their facilities to the public with an opening date set for Friday, April 12th. Sign-up forms for Frederick Peak are available at the KVSH studios on West 3rd Street in Valentine.
The city park facilities will be open no later than May 1st. Siewart stated that with no heat in the bathrooms in the park, “we don’t want the pipes to freeze”.
And finally, there are currently plans to get the pool open on Memorial Day as usual, which falls on May 27th this year.
