Incidents/Arrests:
On 04/02/2024 at 12:58 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 4th and Cherry Streets. A 34 year old woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and no driver’s license. A 19 year old woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Both women were from South Dakota.
On 04/02/2024 at 9:06 am, an officer responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of north Ray Street. A juvenile male was identified as a suspect in an assault.
On 04/03/2024 at 3:58 pm, officers from the Valentine Police Department and Cherry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of south Main Street for an assault. A 23 year old South Dakota man was arrested for false imprisonment, child abuse and domestic assault.
On 04/05/2024 at 6:39 pm, an officer received a complaint of a man breaking into a car. A 42 year old Valentine man has been identified as a suspect.

On 03/31/2024 at 3:06 am, a disturbance occurred in the 500 block of north Macomb Street.
On 04/01/2024 at 4:55 pm, a missing person’s report was filed with the department.
On 04/03/2024 at 1:30 pm, an individual filed a report about being a victim of a scam.
On 04/03/2024 at 1:50 pm, a theft was reported from the 600 block of east 7th Street.
On 04/03/2024 at 6:35 pm, a caller from the 500 block of north Ray Street filed a complaint regarding improper disposal of animal feces.
On 04/04/2024 at 10:46 am, a generalized complaint regarding skateboarders impeding traffic was filed.
On 04/05/2024 at 8:00 am, an open door was reported in the 100 block of west 3rd Street.
On 04/05/2024 at 1:32 pm, extra patrols were requested in the 600 block of north Ray Street.
On 04/05/2024 at 7:19 pm, an officer received a theft complaint from the 1000 block of east highway 20.
On 04/06/2024 at 12:14 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 100 block of south Main Street.
On 04/06/2024 at 2:19 pm, property damage was reported in the Little’s Trailer Court.
On 04/06/2024 at 9:29 pm, a disturbance occurred in the 100 block of north Main Street.
