The 2024 Edition of Old West Days and the Nebraska Cowboy Poetry Gathering will offer a fresh, new start as the event joins forces with Valentine’s annual 1884 Days Celebration which will be held April 25 – 28. This year’s theme, “Old Traditions, New Beginnings” will be just that as the event will showcase many past-favorite entertainers but will feature many young, up-and-coming talents to emphasize “New Beginnings.” According to President Rick Buoy, “This general area is blessed with some great young talent, and we are looking forward to presenting some of them to you!” Included in the line-up of featured entertainers will be Valentine’s own Harley Thorpe; South Dakota Ranchwife, Shiloh Hewitt; and Ashby, Nebraska’s B. J. Jamison, who is one of the nation’s rising stars on the music scene today. Returning by popular demand, are Bonnie Krogman, Randy Huston, and Jake Riley. Over 30 entertainers from eight states will offer great entertainment on the free day sessions held on Friday and Saturday.
