Incidents/Arrests:

On 03/11/2024 at 2:24 pm, an officer responded to the 500 block of north Macomb Street for a non-injury accident resulting in property damage. On 03/12/2024 at 11:16 am, officers responded to the same location for a non-injury accident resulting in property damage. An 80 year old Valentine man was identified as the driver responsible for both accidents. He was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and careless driving.

On 03/15/2024 at 12:01 pm, an officer responded to the 700 block of west highway 20 to assist with a child who had been abandoned. A 21 year old woman, 41 year old woman and a 33 year old male, all from Valentine, were identified as suspects. The Nebraska Children and Family Services was requested to assist. All investigative reports have been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.

On 03/10/2024 at 1:02 pm, a disturbance occurred in the 300 block of west 4th Street.

On 03/12/2024 at 8:20 am, a disturbance occurred in the 900 block of east 10th Street.

On 03/12/2024 at 1:51 pm, a theft was reported in the 200 block of north Wood Street.

On 03/14/2024 at 1:55 pm, a complaint regarding a theft from a vulnerable adult was filed with the department.

On 03/14/2024 at 8:28 pm, an officer received a complaint from the 700 block of north Wood Street regarding criminal mischief.

On 03/15/2024 at 2:14 pm, a disturbance occurred in the 200 block of south Main Street.

On 03/15/2024 at 3:11 pm, a complaint of dogs running at large near the 400 block of east highway 20 was received.

On 03/15/2024 at 7:35 pm, a 41 year old man from South Dakota who had an active arrest warrant, turned himself in.

On 03/15/2024 at 11:42 pm, a disturbance occurred in the 500 block of west 5th Street.

On 03/16/2024 at 1:07 pm, the department received a complaint regarding threats and harassment.

On 03/16/2024 at 5:00 pm, a welfare check was requested in the 100 block of north Main Street.

On 03/16/2024 at 7:38 pm, a disturbance occurred in the 500 block of north Ray Street.
