There have been some new filings for some local races in the area since last week’s report.
Shane Daniels has filed to challenge incumbent Martin Denaeyar for 4 year seat on the Cherry County Commission.
Byron Burdick has filed for Valentine Community School Board. Burdick is challenging incumbents Shane Kime and Jo Hand.
The deadline for New Filers for any race that WILL BE ON THE PRIMARY ELECTION IN MAY will be Next Friday, March 1, 2024, at 5 PM CST.
Ballots Mailed: Wednesday, April 24, 2024
If you plan to be away from home for the Election, you MUST fill out an Early
Voting Ballot Application – you can find these online at cherrycountyne.gov
or you are welcome to stop by the Cherry County Clerk’s Office in person.
Our listeners are also reminded of the new Voter ID law which will be in effect for the May 14 Primary Election.

The Village Boards are NOT on the Primary. Some have filed already, but their
deadline is NOT until July 15 for Incumbents and August 1 for new filers.
