Incidents/Arrests:
On 01/28/2024 at 4:09 pm, an officer was requested to investigate a missing juvenile complaint around 2nd and Wood Streets. The juvenile was later located by family.
On 01/29/2024 at 1:40 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of north Green Street. A 29 year old Valentine woman, a 48 year old Valentine man and a 22 year old South Dakota man were all arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
On 01/30/2024 at 12:03 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 3rd and Victoria Streets. A 50 year old Valentine man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while revoked and willful reckless driving.

On 01/29/2024 at 10:54 am, a theft occurred in the 500 block of north Macomb Street.
On 01/29/2024 at 3:00 pm, a welfare check was requested in the 200 block of north Wood Street.
On 01/29/2024 at 5:06 pm, a welfare check was requested in the 100 block of south Hall Street.
On 01/29/2024 at 5:36 pm, an officer responded to the 400 block of north Macomb Street for a trespassing complaint.
On 01/30/2024 at 3:05 pm, a theft complaint was received from the 1000 block of east highway 20.
On 01/30/2024 at 3:51 pm, a hit and run accident occurred in the 200 block of east highway 20. The Mellette County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle and driver involved in the accident.
On 01/31/2024 at 7:34 am, a dog was reported to be running at large near the intersection of 4th and Wood Streets.
On 01/31/2024 at 1307 pm, an officer received a complaint of a trespasser in the 200 block of north Hall Street.
On 02/01/2024 at 7:40 pm, a suspicious vehicle was reported around 2nd and Government Streets.
On 02/02/2024 at 8:57 am, a welfare check was requested in the 300 block of north Valentine Street.
On 02/02/2024 at 10:07 am, a theft complaint was received from the 400 block of east 5th Street.
On 02/02/2024 at 2:31 pm, a dog at large complaint was called in from the intersection of 6th and Macomb Streets.
On 02/03/2024 at 3:54 pm, a dog was reportedly at large near 2nd and Ray Streets.
Officers responded to 90 calls for service this week.
