Incidents/Arrests:
On 01/22/2024 at 9:47 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of north Green Street. During the stop, K9 Baker was deployed. A 30 year old man from Alliance, NE was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
On 01/24/2024 at 8:56 am, a dog was reported to be running at large in the 100 block of west 1st Street. A 42 year old Valentine man was cited as a result.
On 01/24/2024 at 8:56 am, a report of a theft of a vehicle was received from the 1000 block of east 9th Street. The vehicle was recovered by the Rosebud Tribal Police. A juvenile female was identified as the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
On 01/24/2024 at 3:58 pm, an officer received information regarding multiple drug violations occurring in the 400 block of north Green Street. 3 juveniles have been identified as suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
On 01/25/2024 at 9:00 am, officers were investigating drug violations that had been occurring in the 400 block of north Green Street. During this investigation, 2 juveniles were found to be in possession of alcohol and were cited.
On 01/25/2024 at 7:57 pm, an officer responded to the 500 block of north Macomb Street regarding terroristic threats being made. A 27 year old South Dakota man was identified as a suspect. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
On 01/27/2024 at 10:19 pm, an officer responded to the 900 block of east 2nd Street for an assault. A juvenile was identified as the suspect. All information will be forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.

On 01/21/2024 at 4:10 am, a suspicious vehicle was reported in the 500 block of north Green Street.
On 01/22/2024 at 11:55 am, a theft of services complaint was received from the 300 block of east highway 20.
On 01/22/2024 at 10:31 pm, a protection order violation was reported from the 100 block of north Wood Street.
On 01/23/2024 at 12:52 pm, a trespasser was reported in the 300 block of east highway 20.
On 01/23/2024 at 1:38 pm, a complaint of a Facebook scam was filed with the department.
On 01/24/2024 at 8:56 am, a dog was reported to be running at large near 1st and Cherry Streets.
On 01/25/2024 at 08:46 am, a welfare check was requested in the 200 block of north Wood Street.
On 01/25/2024 at 11:46 am, a dog was reported to be running at large in the 400 block of east 2nd Street.
On 01/25/2024 at 1:40 pm, a warning was issued near the intersection of 3rd and Ray Streets for failing to remove the vehicle for snow removal.
On 01/26/2024 at 1:39 pm, a scam complaint was filed with the department.
Officers responded to 95 calls for service this week.
