Mr. Jay Elliott has been selected as the top candidate to be recommended to the Valentine Board of Education for approval at the Feb. 12th board meeting as the next principal at Valentine Elementary School.
Jay is a 1998 graduate of Valentine High School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 2003, as well as his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Doane College in 2012.
Jay served 20 years of his career in the Westside Community School District in Omaha, with 8 of those years involving school administration. Jay has most recently served as a middle school assistant principal at Todd County Middle School in Mission, South Dakota. Jay currently lives in Valentine with his wife, Jamie.
