On 01/05/2024, the Valentine Police Department recognized Lt. Jamon Slama for 20 years of service with the Police Department. Lt. Slama began his law enforcement career with the Sidney Police Department. On January 5, 2004, he started his service with the City of Valentine’s Police Department. Lt. Slama was promoted to the position of Lieutenant while Chief Ben McBride was at the helm. During his time with the Police Department, he has served as the Acting Police Chief, a Firearms Instructor and Training Coordinator. Lt. Slama is to be commended for his dedication and service to the Police Department and the City of Valentine. Congratulations Lt. Slama.
