Seven students from the VHS Music Department have been accepted into the
University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Music Festival. The UNK Music Festival
consists of two bands and three choirs. Students had to audition and be
accepted into the festival bands and choirs. Chosen from Valentine High
School were: Neeley Cronin, Sari LaDeaux, and Marybelle Ward for the Treble
Choir and Patrick Caley, Devlin Welch, and Titus Maunu for the Festival
Choir. Grant Springer was chosen for the Honor Band. The music festival
will take place on January 29th, 2024.

Two students were chosen for the High Plains Music Festival at Chadron
State College. Chadron will host their 51st festival on February 5th, and
6th, 2024. The student accepted into this Honor Choir is Marybelle Ward,
Soprano. Chosen for the band is Grant Springer (Trombone).

these select groups!!
