Incidents/Arrests:
On 12/24/2023 at 6:06 am, an officer responded to the 100 block of Thatcher Street for a disturbance. A 29-year-old South Dakota man was identified as a suspect in an assault. The suspect fled prior to law enforcement arrival. An arrest warrant will be sought.
On 12/26/2023 at 10:06 pm, officers responded to the 500 block of west 3rd Street for a report of shots fired. A 48-year-old Valentine man was arrested for terroristic threats, resisting arrest, and numerous firearm related charges.
On 12/29/2023 at 1:39 pm, officers responded to the intersection of B and Main Streets for a disturbance. A 31-year-old Valentine man was arrested for assault.
On 12/30/2023 at 2:47 pm, officers were called to the 700 block of east highway 20 for abandoned property. Following an investigation and the deployment of K9 Baker, a 42-year-old woman and a 37 year old man, both from South Dakota, were arrested for possession of drugs with the intent to distribute, child abuse and additional drug related violations. Drugs and a large amount of cash were seized as a result of this investigation.

On 12/28/2023 at 10:48 pm, a suspicious person was reported in the 500 block of north Valentine Street.

On 12/29/2023 at 9:40 pm, a welfare was requested in the 500 block of north Macomb Street.
On 12/30/2023 at 9:15 am, a non-injury accident occurred in the 400 block of west 2nd Street.
