Incidents/Arrests:
On 12/18/2023 at 10:37 am, the department received a report of a sexual abuse of a child. The Nebraska State Patrol was requested to handle the investigation.
On 12/19/2023 at 10:20 pm, an officer responded to the 400 block of east highway 20 for a disturbance. A 35 year old Valentine woman was arrested for domestic assault.
On 12/20/2023 at 12:53 pm, officers with the Cherry County Sheriff’s Office, the Valentine Police Department and other first responder agencies, responded to the intersection of Government Street and Highway 20 for an accident with injuries. A 65 year old Valentine woman was cited for No proof of insurance.
On 12/20/2023 at 4:07 pm, an officer responded to the 200 block of west highway 20 for a report of a theft. A 35 year old Valentine man was cited for theft by shoplifting.

On 12/17/2023 at 8:57 am, multiple abandoned 911 calls were received from the 100 block of south Main Street. No contacts were made.
On 12/18/2023 at 9:14 am, a scam report was filed from the 500 block of north Green Street.
On 12/18/2023 at 9:27 am, a barking dog complaint was received from the 400 block of north Hall Street.
On 12/18/2023 at 6:50 pm, officers responded to the 200 block of south Vivian Street regarding a burglary.
On 12/18/2023 at 7:32 pm, a barking dog complaint was received from the 400 block of north Hall Street.
On 12/18/2023 at 7:34 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 200 block of east highway 20.
On 12/19/2023 at 11:56 am, a theft report was received from the 200 block of south Hall Street.
On 12/19/2023 at 3:15 pm, a victim of the Medicare scam filed a report with the department.

On 12/20/2023 at 12:05 am, a possible stolen vehicle was recovered from the intersection of B and Eva Streets. It had been abandoned in the intersection.
