The Cherry County Hospital Board of Trustees took the better part of the day on Wednesday November 15th to sit down and talk with the three finalists for the permanent CEO position.  The three finalists were individually given 2 hours each with the board moving through the final portion of the interview process, and while much of these meetings were open to the public, much of the discussion had to take place behind closed doors in executive session.

KVSH News reached out to the hospital board’s chairman Roger Dunn, who was unavailable at the time of this story’s compilation, however, board member Greg Perrett did state that he was “very pleased” with the three candidates and was optimistic about the prospect of seating a candidate who would be a successful fit for the hospital.

The session lasted from 8am until almost 4pm on Wednesday.

The three finalists for the Cherry County Hospital CEO position are Jim Bargen, Andrea Brown, and Nancy Hicks-Arsenault.

Jim Bargen is currently the COO of Box Butte General Hospital.

Andrea Brown of Valentine, is Vice President of Home Therapies Operations and Systems at Fresenius Medical Care North America,

and Nancy Hicks-Arsenault is the current interim CEO at Cherry County Hospital after being hired by former CEO Kyle Kellum for the Director of Nursing position.

The next meeting of the Cherry County Hospital Board of Trustees will be November 27th at 5pm at the hospital meeting room.
