Arrests/Incidents:
On 10/30/2023 at 10:46 am, the department received a report of child abuse/neglect. The Nebraska Children and Family Services was requested to assist in the investigation.
On 10/30/2023 at 2:00 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of north Wood Street for a burglary. A 36-year-old Valentine man was arrested for burglary, theft and possession of stolen property.
On 10/31/2023 at 9:55 am, the department received a report of a sexual assault. The investigation is ongoing.
On 10/31/2023 at 7:13 pm, officers from the Valentine Police Department and Cherry County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Western Street for a break in and assault. During the incident, a firearm, along with other personal items, were stolen from the residence. A 48-year-old Valentine man was arrested in connection with this incident.
On 11/01/2023 at 3:30 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 3rd and Cherry Streets. A 37-year-old Valentine woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
On 11/04/2023 at 5:18 pm, an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on highway 20 within the city of Valentine. The vehicle stopped approximately 2 miles west of Valentine. A 55-year-old Kilgore man was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

On 10/29/2023 at 1:36 am, officers were called to the 100 block of north Main Street for a disturbance.
On 10/29/2023 at 1:41 pm, an auto-theft was reported from the 600 block of west 3rd Street.
On 10/30/2023 at 8:44 am, an officer responded to the 100 block of west highway 20 for a non-injury accident.
On 11/01/2023 at 7:55 am, an officer received a theft report from the 100 block of south Main Street.
On 11/01/2023 at 5:04 pm, a report of a drug violation occurring in the 600 block of west highway 20 was filed.
On 11/02/2023 at 10:59 am, an officer handled a truancy complaint in the 900 block of east 10th Street.
On 11/02/2023 at 1:17 pm, a complaint of a barking dog in the 200 block of south Main Street was filed.
On 11/03/2023 at 8:17 am, an officer handled a truancy complaint in the 900 block of east 10th Street.
On 11/03/2023 at 2:39 pm, a trespasser was reported in the 100 block of north Wood Street.
On 11/03/2023 at 5:16 pm, an officer responded to the 400 block of east highway 20 for a non-injury accident.
On 11/04/2023 at 6:18 pm, a suspicious vehicle was reported in the 200 block of west 3rd Street.
On 11/04/2023 at 7:28 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 500 block of north Wood Street.
On 11/04/2023 at 8:11 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 400 block of east highway 20.
On 11/04/2023 at 10:36 pm, a disturbance was reported on south Merritt Dam Road.
