The Cherry County Hospital Board of Trustees met for their regular meeting on Monday October 30 at the hospital meeting room. During that time, Shirley Knudson, RN was recognized for having won the “Caring and Kind” award at a recent healthcare convention. Interim CEO Nancy Hicks Arsenault introduced Stephanie Jacobson, Lokum CFO for Cherry County Hospital who was hired about a month ago. Jacobson stated during her finance report that it would be 2-3 months before she would be able to provide a good financial statement as there were many things that needed to be accomplished in the mean time. It was again stated that the CEO Selection Committee had announced that there would be an open meeting with interviews on November 8th at the hospital. However, chairman Dunn has notified KVSH news that this will now be held on November 15th. This is to be a public meeting, however some of the interview process may need to be done in a closed executive session.
The next regular meeting for the Cherry County Hospital Board of Trustees will be November 27th at 5pm.
