Arrests/Incidents:
On 10/23/2023 at 8:21 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of south Sally Street for criminal mischief. A 34 year old Valentine woman was arrested for the property damage.
On 10/23/2023 at 9:36 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of west highway 20. A 46 year old man from Oklahoma was cited for speeding.
On 10/25/2023 at 2:05 pm, at the request of the Valentine Community Schools, an officer investigated a complaint of excessive truancy in the 200 block of south Helen Street. All information was forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 10/26/2023 at 10:43 am, an officer responded to the 900 block of north Green Street for a disturbance. A 47 year old South Dakota man was arrested for 3rd degree assault and child abuse.

On 10/22/2023 at 1:06 am, an assault was reported in the 500 block of west 2nd Street.
On 10/24/2023 at 10:02 am, a disturbance was reported in the 800 block of west highway 20.
On 10/25/2023 at 8:51 am, a dog at large was called in from the 100 block of north Cherry Street.
On 10/25/2023 at 11:51 am, a complaint of a parking violation was reported in the 400 block of west B Street.
On 10/25/2023 at 4:30 pm, an officer fielded a delayed report of a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of east 5th Street.
On 10/25/2023 at 7:04 pm, a welfare check was requested in the 100 block of south Hall Street.
On 10/26/2023 at 9:59 am, a disturbance was reported near Thatcher Street and highway 20.
On 10/26/2023 at 10:28 am, a burglary was reported in the 900 block of east 10th Street.
On 10/26/2023 at 1:30 pm, a caller provided information regarding the illegal use and sales of narcotics.
On 10/26/2023 at 3:30 pm, a report of child abuse was filed with the department. The Nebraska Children and Family Services was requested to assist.
On 10/27/2023 at 11:08 pm, a business alarm was activated in the 100 block of east highway 20.
On 10/28/2023 at 2:16 pm, a theft was reported in the 400 block of west highway 20.
