Get ready for a spine-tingling challenge that will awaken your inner ghoulish decorator! The Friends of the Library are thrilled to announce our Gingerbread Haunted House Decorating Challenge, and we want YOU to be a part of it!
🏆 Prizes will be awarded in EACH age division, so whether you’re a young pumpkin carver or a seasoned trick-or-treater, there’s a category for you. But wait, there’s more… 📖🏠 We’re also giving special recognition to the best LITERARY-THEMED gingerbread house! Imagine bringing your favorite book to life in sugary, spooky style!
Here’s how it works:
🗓️ Drop off your masterpiece between October 23-27 at Valentine Public Library. Entries must be a free-standing gingerbread or edible structure measuring no larger than 18 x 18 and attached to a base.
🎃 Join us at the Scare in the Square event on October 31 to see all of the incredible entries on display and find out who the winners are!
