The featured business of the week on KVSH Radio is Steele Feed Service, owned and operated by Steve Steele of Valentine. According to Mr. Steele, the business got it’s start as “Kayden Feed and Seed” owned by Myron Kaden, with a building on east 1st street in Valentine. At this time Sonny Steele was just getting out of the Navy and started working for Kayden’s. The business became Reagle Feed with Alvin Reagle, which eventually went to the east elevator in town.

Sonny started Steele Feed Service in partnership with Howard Graham Trucking August 1st 1971. Steve became a partner with his father in 1980, and continued until his father’s death in 2009 when Steve became sole proprietor. Steele Feed Service continues doing business at their current location at the corner of Government and Highway 20 / “C” Street. They sell a variety of feeds as well as Gallagher Electric fences, with some minor repair work on those fences. Steve also does quite a bit of home and automotive audio work. To learn more, listeners are invited to stop by Steele Feed and have a cup of coffee.
