David Dorsey is the Sand Painters Art Club Artist of the Month for August.
Art has always played a huge part in Dave’s life. Ever since he was little, drawing and painting have been something that he has always done.
Dave has been drawn to the land and the individuals that call this vast plains home. Dave says “I feel fortunate to be able to put brush to canvas and freeze a moment in time”.
Recently Dorsey has been exploring the use of charcoal on linen canvas, as well as incorporation acrylic washes with it. It is a new direction for him. Dave’s art has been featured at several major art shows and has wonnumerous awards.
