Jury selection was held yesterday at Valentine High School for the Kevin Kilmer murder trial in Cherry County. The selection process began about 8:30 and lasted into the evening hours. Kilmer has been charged with murder in the August 2021 death of 52 year old Ruth Wittmuss in the Kilgore area. The trial is to be held this week and expected to last for about a week. The 25 year old Kilmer has been held in the Cherry County Jail.
