The second installment in our series of “Business of the Week” puts the spotlight on Price’s Gallery and Framing at 213 North Main in Valentine. Local artist and artisan Dave Price took over Mark Adamson’s framing work in the spring of 2001, moving into his current location in April of that year. Dave says that a majority of his business is building custom framing for not only the artwork in his studio, but any photos, paintings, or prints that need a professionally matted fram.
The building where Price’s Gallery is currently located has been host to several businesses since the late 1800s, including the Connoly Hardware Store and Hoeneg Men’s Clothing Store, which is where Curt Young started a shoe repair business in the back. More recently, Cliff Reese had a skelgas business in that location.
Dave says that appointments are not necessary, inviting folks to stop by and take a look at Price’s Art Gallery during regular business hours.
