Two members of the Greater Nebraska Swim Team from Valentine have qualified for the State Midwest Championships in Lincoln this weekend. Aubrey Benson will compete in the 50 freestyle and Brook Nelson will compete in the 50 breaststroke. This is the first time in 5 years that anyone from Valentine has qualified for the state meet. The members are currently doing some fund raising to help them make the trip to Woods Park in Lincoln where they will team up with other members from the Kearney chapter of GNST to compete in relays as well. The are also raising funds for needed equipment for training at the Valentine Family Aquatic center.
