Incidents/Arrests:
On 07/03/2023 at 6:38 am, an officer responded to the 400 block of west 2nd Street for a domestic disturbance. A 33 year old Valentine man was arrested for 3rd degree domestic assault, child abuse and a protection order violation.
On 07/03/2023 at 3:56 pm, an officer responded to the 200 block of south Main Street for a report of a juvenile runaway. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
On 07/05/2023 at 12:17 am, officers responded to the 200 block of south Helen Street for a sexual assault. Following the execution of a search warrant, all information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
On 07/05/2023 at 8:46 pm, an officer investigated allegations of child abuse. A 40 year old Valentine man was arrested for possession of child pornography, enticement via an electronic device and child enticement.
On 07/07/2023 at 9:56 am, an officer responded to the area of 1st and Macomb Streets regarding a trespasser. A 72 year old Crookston man was arrested for criminal trespassing.
On 07/07/2023 at 2:05 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 for a delayed report of threats with a deadly weapon. A 43 year old South Dakota woman has been identified as a suspect. An arrest warrant will be requested.
On 07/08/2023 at 8:48 am, the Cherry County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance with a traffic accident on north Fish Hatchery Road. A 23 year old Valentine man was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and criminal mischief.

On 07/04/2023 at 1:14 pm, a kidnapping was reported near 3rd and Macomb Streets. All was found to be ok.
On 07/05/2023 at 12:31 am, a burglary was reported in the 1000 block of east 9th Street.
On 07/05/2023 at 9:39 am, a disturbance was reported in the 500 block of north Green Street.
On 07/05/2023 at 11:45 am, a stolen bike was reported from the 400 block of north Hall Street. The bike is a 21” boys bike with a red and black frame.
On 07/05/2023 at 12:07 pm, a white Dodge charger was reported to be driving carelessly.
On 07/05/2023 at 2:11 pm, a possible drunk driver was reported in the 100 block of east highway 20.
On 07/06/2023 at 7:47 am, a complaint of stalking was filed with the department.
On 07/06/2023 at 10:35 am, a juvenile runaway was reported from the 200 block of south Main Street.
On 07/06/2023 at 12:10 pm, a white Dodge charger was reported to be driving carelessly.
On 07/06/2023 at 12:24 pm, an extortion scam was reported.
On 07/06/2023 at 11:46 pm, a juvenile runaway was reported from the 200 block of south Main Street.
On 07/07/2023 at 9:20 am, a complaint of a vehicle impeding traffic was reported in the 300 block of north Cherry Street.
