The Valentine Rotary Club recently awarded $1000 scholarships to six 2023 high school graduates. This year’s recipients are Taylor Battershaw, Lainey Egelhoff, Conner Kreutner, Jack Lancaster, Malika Monroe and Taycee Reimers. The Rotary club wishes to thank all those who have attended and contributed to their annual spring Fish and Chips for Scholarships fundraiser at Bolo Beer. The Sandhills Area Foundation is a valued partner in awarding these scholarships by providing a matching $500 grant. The Valentine Rotary club is a humanitarian service organization consistently working to improve our community, encourage education and promote integrity. The club partners internationally with other Rotary clubs to support disease prevention and treatment, provide maternal and child health, facilitate clean water and sanitation projects, and promote world understanding and peace.
