Time is getting short to finish up your lick tub RE-INVENTION. You need to apply those finishing touches in time to enter it into the ONLY LICK TUB CHALLENGE (that I can find). The challenge is to find a new purpose for a used up lick tub. The contest will be at the Sandhills Ranch Expo in Bassett again this year. Those entering the contest can bring your “upcycled” models to the Ranch Expo the morning of June 21st. The entries will be on display and judged during the Expo.
There will be first place winners in each of the 4 categories and also People’s Choice, voted on by Expo attendees. The four categories: Home use and Commercial use- 16 yrs and under. Home use and Commercial use- adult division.
First place awards for each category are sponsored by Rio Nutrition- Shane And Karen Keller of Valentine, Long Pine Feed- Dan Dailey of Long Pine, 2 first place prizes sponsored by Vitalix- Travis Schauda of Broken Bow. First place winners for each category receive $100 in prize money. There is also a People’s Choice prize sponsored by Sutter Feeds- Scott Ruzicka of Verdigre. People’s Choice prize is $125. Jock at Anson Feed in Atkinson is giving a t-shirt to each contestant.
