Memorial Weekend starts the summer season. The National Parks staff have seen an increase in visitors on the river and in the National Park Service visitor center. Our busiest part of the season is July and will be progressively increasing as we get to July.
The visitors that we met over the weekend were very excited to be here and said it is such a beautiful place.
Beginning on the weekends of June, you will find NPS staff interacting with visitors on the river, at Smith Falls landing doing programs at the pop up visitor center.
The pop visitor center is on the path between the landing and the falls. Listen to KVSH Radio for more details on programs. All programs are free of charge and designed for people of all ages.
