The Heart City Cattle Battle will be held in Valentine on June 9th and 10th at the Cherry County Fairgrounds. According to co-organizer Josh Delaney, area youth are especially urged to enter this clinic and cattle show. The Battle begins with Check in on Friday June 9th at 12 noon. A livestock Judging Clinic from 2 to 5 and Fitting Clinic from 5 to 7PM. Friday evening the showmanship contest begins at 7. The public is welcome to watch. Saturday June 10 the action picks up with the cattle show with market animals/top 5, breeding bulls, Market Heifers and Steer division champions and breeding bulls and heifers division championship and heifers. $2,000 added money for the Heart City Cattle Battle June 9th and 10th along with buckles for top 5 breeding, market and showmanship. .
