Incidents/Arrests:
On 05/14/2023 at 11:26 pm, an officer responded to the 600 block of north Valentine Street in regards to multiple thefts from vehicles. 3 Suspects were seen fleeing the area. Case is pending suspect identification.
On 05/15/2023 at 3:39 am, a disturbance was reported in the 100 block of north Main Street. A 40 year old Valentine female was arrested for disturbing the peace.
On 05/15/2023 at 8:20 am, an officer responded to the 200 block of north Wood Street for a disturbance. A juvenile male was cited for assault.
On 05/15/2023 at 12:28 am, an officer received a report of an assault that occurred in the 500 block of north Ray Street. 2 Valentine men have been identified as suspects.
On 05/15/2023 at 3:30 pm, officers responded to a 2 vehicle accident in the 300 block of north Main Street. A 23 year old Valentine woman was cited for distracted driving.
On 05/16/2023 at 11:17 am, a complaint of property damage and an assault occurring in the 500 block of north Ray Street was reported. A 25 year old Valentine woman was arrested in connection to this incident.
On 05/16/2023 at 9:58 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of east highway 20 for a disturbance. A 51 year old Valentine man was arrested for terroristic threats, criminal trespassing and disturbing the peace.
On 05/18/2023 at 2:42 pm, an officer responded to the 200 block of south Helen Street for a drug violation complaint. 2 juvenile females were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 05/18/2023 at 5:40 pm, a sexual assault complaint was filed with the department. The investigation is ongoing.
Calls:
On 05/15/2023 at 11:42 pm, a victim of an auto theft that had occurred in South Dakota reported that the vehicle may be in Valentine. The vehicle is described as a white 1996 Dodge Dakota SD#WEFA8. Contact police if located.
On 05/16/2023 at 9:19 am, a dog at large was reported in the 500 block of north Ray Street.
On 05/16/2023 at 9:57 am, a complaint of an extortion scam was filed.
On 05/16/2023 at 10:00 am, criminal mischief to trees was reported in the 100 block of north Main Street.
On 05/16/2023 at 5:40 pm, a welfare check was requested in the 100 block of north Main Street.
On 05/17/2023 at 2:48 pm, a complaint regarding someone mowing and kicking up debris was filed in the 300 block of north Macomb Street.
On 05/18/2023 at 12:47 am, an aggressive dog was reported to be running at large near 2nd and Victoria Streets.
On 05/18/2023 at 12:25 pm, a report of a careless driver in the City park was called in. The vehicle was described as a white sedan with pink trim around the rear license plate.
On 05/18/2023 at 4:11 pm, a trespasser was reported at 100 block of east highway 20. A male subject was removed from the premise.
On 05/18/2023 at 4:22 pm, a concerned caller reported kids laying in the street near 4th and Macomb Streets.
On 05/18/2023 at 11:54 pm, an officer responded to the 200 block of south Helen Street for a complaint of a suspicious vehicle parked outside of the caller’s home.
