Incidents/Arrests:
On 04/23/2023 at 4:37 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of north Green Street. An 18 year old Valentine man was arrested on suspicion of operating his vehicle while under the influence of drugs.
On 04/24/2023, the department received a report of 2 juvenile runaways. All information regarding these incidents were forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
On 04/25/2023 at 5:29 pm, an officer made contact with a vehicle in the 900 block of north Queen Street. A juvenile male was cited for multiple drug charges.
On 04/26/2023 at 5:09 pm, an officer responded to the 100 block of north Hall Street regarding a delayed assault report. All information has been forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney.
On 04/26/2023 at 5:29 pm, an officer responded to the 200 block of north Wood Street for an assault. 2 juvenile males were cited for this incident.
On 04/26/2023 at 9:08 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop at 4th and Wood Streets. A 23 year old South Dakota woman was cited for a child safety restraint violation.
On 04/28/2023 at 7:30 am, a domestic disturbance was reported in the 300 block of east 3rd Street. A 40 year old Valentine man was arrested for domestic assault, child abuse and terroristic threats.
On 04/29/2023 at 2:25 pm, an officer responded to the 300 block of west highway 20 for a disturbance. A 22 year old South Dakota woman was arrested for disturbing the peace.

On 04/23/2023 at 2:11 am, a dog at large was reported at 3rd and Victoria Streets.
On 04/23/2023 at 8:36 pm, a disturbance was reported at 4th and Hall Streets.
On 04/24/2023 at 2:08 pm, a report of child abuse was filed with the department. Child and Family Services was requested to assist.
On 04/24/2023 at 6:49 pm, an officer responded to the 500 block of north Government Street for a disturbance.
On 04/25/2023 at 10:06 am, a domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of west 3rd Street.
On 04/26/2023 at 10:46 am, a fraud complaint was filed.
On 04/26/2023 at 11:00 am, at the request of the Valentine Community Schools, a truancy welfare check was conducted in the 400 block of north Macomb Street.
On 04/26/2023 at 8:30 pm, a dog at large was reported in the 600 block of north Wood Street.
On 04/27/2023 at 8:37 am, a caller wanted to report potential thefts from vacant homes.
On 04/27/2023 at 4:36 pm, a disturbance was reported in the 400 block of west highway 20. A 51 year old Valentine woman was issued a criminal trespass warning.
On 04/28/2023 at 11:51 am, a dog at large was reported at 3rd and Ray Streets.
