Emergency crews responded to a report of a house fire on Thursday evening in Valentine. Responding were the Valentine Volunteer Fire Department, Valentine Police Department, Cherry County Sheriffs Department and Cherry County Hospital Ambulance. Valentine fire chief Terry Engles told KVSH that the fire was believed to have started on the porch about 7:30pm. Chief Engles stated that the State Fire Marshals Office will investigate to determine the exact cause of the blaze which caused minor damage inside the home. There were no injuries reported. Emergency crews were on the scene for about 1 hour.
